How to Wear Your TISTELLA Earrings
TISTELLA earrings use a threadless push-pin system — no screw threads, no butterfly backs, no tools required. Each pair arrives gently pre-bent and ready to wear.
Inserting Your Earrings
1. Insert the post from behind
Hold the flat-back post and slide it through the back of your piercing. The flat disc should sit flush against the back of your earlobe.
2. Attach the decorative top
Take the decorative top and line up its thin pin with the hollow opening of the post from the front of your ear.
3. Press until flush
Push the decorative top straight into the post. You'll feel a firm, snug click — that's the friction lock engaging.
Tip: If you have trouble finding your piercing from behind, use the included insertion guide pin — see below.
Removing Your Earrings
Hold the flat-back disc behind your ear with one hand. With the other, grip the decorative top and pull straight forward with gentle, steady pressure. Do not twist.
Adjusting the Fit
Your earrings come pre-bent for a secure fit out of the box. If you'd like a tighter hold, gently bend the pin slightly near the tip only.
If the earring feels too tight or difficult to insert, straighten the pin slightly near the tip to reduce tension.
Important: Only bend near the tip of the pin — never near the base where it meets the decorative top. Bending too close to the weld point can cause the pin to snap. Damage from incorrect bending is not covered under our quality guarantee.
Using the Insertion Guide Pin
Every TISTELLA order includes a free insertion guide pin (20G / 0.8mm, 28mm long) to help you find and open your piercing channel. It's especially helpful if you haven't worn earrings in a while, if your piercing feels tight, or if you have long nails.
1. Bend — Slightly bend the thin end of the guide pin (0.45mm tip), then insert it into the flat-back post.
2. Press — From behind your ear, push the post and guide pin through your piercing. The tapered cone smoothly opens the channel.
3. Click — Once the flat-back disc sits flush behind your ear, pull the guide pin out from the front. Then attach the decorative top as usual.
Tip: If the guide pin won't pass through, do not force it — consult a professional piercer.
